In addition to owning Century 21 MVP with her husband Mike, Deborah Korlin manages a team of four licensed agents who work closely together to serve their clients throughout the buying and selling process. Last year, Deborah and her staff helped more than 90 families find the perfect property! Deborah is one of the foremost real estate experts on investment cabins in the Great Smoky Mountains. When they’re not taking care of business, you can find Deborah and Mike enjoying their farm — whether riding their horse CD, taking care of their rambunctious donkey Bojack, or collecting honey from the beehives on their farm.
Each agent that works with me directly has a different set of highly specialized skills and knowledge about specific aspects of real estate. As a group we all work to make sure every client is served to the best of our ability. Frequently, a client who works with one of us at the start of the process will end up working with all of us before the transaction is finished, and may end the process spending more time with a different member of our group than the one they started out with. I know that can be confusing because it’s a little non-traditional so I want to talk a little bit about each of them and how we all work together. Our goal as a group is to make sure each client gets the best service possible throughout the home buying and selling process.
Greg Korlin is a REALTOR® and Deborah’s son. Not only does he work side by side with her to help buyers find the perfect property, he is also our listing coordinator. He works with other real estate firms to schedule showings of listings for all our clients. He has fantastic skills in assessing property value and finding amazing investment property of our investor clients. Greg graduated from University of Tennessee with a history degree. When he’s not at work, Greg spends his time working on Mike’s and Deborah’s farm, throwing around weights at the gym, or upgrading his Subaru — which he affectionately named “Rex the WRX.” Greg's goal is to provide you the best possible service!
Susan Smith is a REALTOR® and handles the closing process for our clients. When the time comes to submit or accept an offer, Susan ensures that the process goes as smoothly as possible. She takes care of all the details and works with the different personnel involved (home inspectors, agents, etc.) to complete the sales process. Susan is amazing at negotiating and makes sure our contracts make it to closing no matter what the challenge is! Miracles happen in her hands! Susan has been with our company since July 2009. Susan graduated from Lamar University with a degree in business. When she’s not at work, Susan enjoys spending time on the water with friends.
Dennis Beard is a REALTOR® and works with new buyers looking to find the perfect home or investment/vacation cabin here in the Smokies. Dennis graduated from Murray State with a degree in journalism. A career marketer and journalist before joining us in 2015, Dennis puts those skills to good use — handling the production of most of our in-house marketing materials, such as our monthly newsletter and informational resort mailings. When he’s not at work, Dennis is enjoying time with his wife and son on one of the many hiking trails!
Alexandra Knight is a REALTOR® and Deborah Korlin’s daughter. Alexandra works with the team to market our client’s listings. Having a degree in photography and business communication from Arkansas State helps her to accomplish just that. Alexandra’s photography will draw the attention you need to sell your house, or help you make the best decision when you’re looking to buy your next home! She also has done graduate work in marketing so she gives us a fresh, youthful take on our approaches to reach you and serve you! When not in the office, she spends her time training for her first half marathon!
Of course, in addition to the specific tasks we all have, any of us are here to help you with any of your home buying and selling needs. I love my team and wouldn’t want to do life without them!
